EC Published Communication to Establish RFID Framework

In a recent Communication, the European Commission accouned plans to propose changes to the Privacy and Electronic Communications Directive in 2007 in order to address specific issues regarding Radio Frequency Identification (”RFID”) applications. The recommendations would be designed to address privacy and data protection issues are expected to be published by year end.
