What Do the New FTC Guidelines Mean for the Fashion Blogging Community?

On Oct. 5, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) published “Final Guides Governing Endorsements, Testimonials,” a set of guidelines that advertisers must follow in order to keep their endorsement and testimonial ads in line with the FTC Act.

The fashion/style blog Mama’s a Rolling Stone wanted to find out how the new rules would impact the fashion blogging community, so it assembled an expert panel to discuss the guidelines and their potential impact on the new media scene.

I was pleased to be included in the panel with social media marketer Kendra Simpson and fellow attorneys Liza Barry-Kessler, Kevin Houchin and Jennifer Taggart. Check out the discussion here.
